Drawing in my sketchbook

I am enjoying sketching today. I have stumbled upon a sort of mixed media technique by accident. It is a transfer and sketching that I am having so much fun experimenting with. At the same time I am thinking of making my next doll .

This drawing reminds me of Winter. I need to work some more on it as I see it picured here. Back to the sketchbook and then I will think of how I want to use this "drawing" maybe in an altered book or mixed media painting.

Another gray day, raining, at least it is warmer no snow or ice, maybe near 40 degrees! YAY!

New Fae in the works.

This little fairy will be under glass as soon as it warms up a little and I can get out to the "studio" to work. I am going to create a little setting for her under a wine glass which I will then solder. I am debating whether to go to eBay or ETSY with her. I am leaning toward ETSY. I hear the eBay is nickle and diming participants these days! If anyone who reads this blog knows for sure if ETSY or eBay would be the better choice please let me know.

I haven't been doing much with dolls lately, I have been experimenting with some accidental inkjet transfers that are coming out very interestingly and I am having a lot of fun with it! I am drawing more filling up my sketchbook and thinking of a logo for my ETSY or eBay site.

I really has been too cold here to go out to the shed and I am sorry I didn't wait to move my stuff out of the "crap" room. However, I seem to be making small trips down there and bringing stuff up and it is beginning to look like my old "crap" room! Oh, oh! I need to clean up after myself, where is Martha Stewart when you need her? Does anyone really craft neatly?

I have been following Misty Mawn and WOW, what a wonderfully creative person she is and very inspiring as well. She really makes me want to paint more, draw more. But I can't give up on the C&C dolls! I have too many ideas for them. I just love making them and am enjoying the online group!

Queen of Hearts

Finally, the Queen of Hearts is fini! This was a fun challenge! Now I can move on to my other projects that I started along with this one! I did try to work around that shadow in the pictures but couldn't seem to get it right!

Still cold here and actually the Queen is still drying out! I am happy with the way she turned out! I put her pic on the C&C,D site. I just love creating little redheads so don't be surprised to see more. Right now I am working on two C&C,D dolls and one tiny porcelain fairy that I will be taking pics of soon.

So not much more to add today, sorry to say!

Evilyn if you are out there somewhere I hope you are enjoying your retirement. I am imagining that you are traveling somewhere...maybe Hawaii?

It is so nice when the kids are getting along! Ah well!

I have been neglecting this blog! I should try to learn more on how to manage it and how to post the blogs I follow and I will! I have been so busy trying to meet the doll challenge at the C&CD group! I am even dreaming about her (the doll, lol)! My little shop is so cold, I do have a heater there but I noticed that the cord gets hot to the touch when I disconnect the plug. That is strange to me and makes me uncomfortable, maybe I need a new plug strip! I would like to go down and turn the heat on before I go in to play. My clay is cold to the touch as if they have been sitting in a refrigerator, my glue is thicker than molasses on snow and takes forever to squeeze out and to spray a coat of sealant on anything makes the item turn white...LOL! Also, my drawers with clay and paint in them seem moist when I open them, a lot of condensation. Wonder what the summer has in store for my little space in the backyard? One thing after another, what else is new! My garage is warmer than my shed/studio! Well, I am happy to have places to go to play and things to play with and if things get too bad there is always Bigfishgames to play so I am really not complaining I promise. I am just trying to keep up with my blogging.

The C&CD group is wonderful! All of the dolls are inspiring and fabulous! I am grateful for Jane to have started the group! I am a loner, a hermit, a recluse, so being around all this wonderful creativity online is a life saver! I am so inspired and fueled, it is like going to school without having to leave my house! I have so many ideas and am frustrated by nature making me slow down! But I guess I had better listen...all in it's own time!

Nothing new to show off yet! But soon I hope!

This is one of my latest grittyjane dolls. I will someday take better pics but here is this one. I used an old button to cover my stitches on the back of her. The other one with the brown butterfly was made weeks ago.

Here is also a mixed media I did a while back using a nicho with a porcelain rabbit head and old text, etc.

If anyone out there knows how I can arrange my pic on this blog better please, please let me know!

Well nothing but computer problems, for some reason my computer won't upload pics from my camera Where is my computer geek son when I need him????!!!! Well darn if he doesn't have a life of his own...maybe this weekend he will show up and tell me what is wrong with this darn thing! @#%#!

Finally the weather has improved and I can go outside to the "studio" to do some work! A silver lining? I sure hope so!

I have been working on a grittyjane doll and I hope she turns out. I have gessoed my other waiting doll bodies and have received some items I ordered from ArtChix so that I may continue on with an idea or two that I have for some of my grittyjane dolls! I can't wait! So much to do and with this weather everything is taking so long to dry out! I suppose nature is telling me to slow down, smell the rain, etc.

I have brought up some paints and pencils to play with when it is just too cold or to go out to work. I have some ideas for my earthen clay and I just have tooooooo many ideas to contain! I wish I could keep going 24/7! I just don't have the energy anymore but that doesn't stop the dreaming and scheming! I do draw out my ideas so maybe I can make sense of it all at some point! Now I have to get downstairs to work! YAY!!!!
