I copied these beautiful candles from Pattee's site for Renee...as Pattee suggested we light a candle for her. Renee's blog is http://circlingmyhead.blogspot.com. Pattee's blog is www.odd-dolls.blogspot.com. Sorry Pattee I should have said this when I posted but I was so sad to hear about Renee. It is Pattee's beautiful gesture to Renee that I have copied. I have only been reading Renee's blog for a short time, almost a year, but her sweet loving nature quickly captured me!

and here is my inner Scarlett O'Hara...lol! I am going from drawing to painting and maybe back to drawing. This is my WIP, tissue background which I think I may sand down a bit. Still painting but slowly I don't want to completely lose her face! This is definitely a mixed media painting! I am also working on a few other things which I will share later.
I haven't checked but I have a feeling it is blurry...damn! Oh well, hopefully I can get a clear shot of the finished portrait (if it turns out that is)!
Thank you all for your comments on my previous rambling!

I have been wanting to paint or draw something but not really feeling like picking up pencil or paint. I did anyway and it is funny but this drawing (from imagination) captured my mood. A bit out of whack, the forehead being to short for the face, etc. I wasn't expecting it and maybe you can or can't see or feel it but I sure do. This is just the sketching it out but already I wish I had put it on a bigger paper or canvas rather than my 10 x 8" sketchbook. Kind of feeling tired and uninspired but I have so many things I need to do. I kind of feel like freezing time right now, it may be a kind of hibernation once again. I just want to stand still right now. I have this feeling of suspended animation, I have most of my life. Oh well, time to breathe and move. Now I think I will paint her on canvas!

Finally completed this table leg doll...whew! It was fun I highly reccomend Jane DesRosier's Table Leg Class at www.clothandclaydolls.ning ! I found some soft bean or vine trailing wire at the nursery last year and thinking it may come in handy for arms I bought a couple of packages of it. I am glad I did! This table leg doll is made of paperclay, wood and the arms are, of course, the wire I purchased. I added paperclay leaves to them and voila! Let me know what you think. I do wish I had made the face bigger. I had so much trouble making this face I have to admit I finally used a store bought clay mold. My next one will be better and sculpted by me.

The dolls I have been working on for my Etsy shop! Yay, they are so cute in person and they sit or hang on the wall. Each on is about 16" tall and handmade! Oh my sore fingers! The top photo is a pic of a few of them up close. I hope now I can get these up onto etsy without a problem...me and technology do not get along very well much of the time. If anyone happens to check out my etsy shop please let me know your opinions and especially if you have trouble getting to it. I am very naieve when it comes to things like this and I respect all comments! Now to go back and figure out how to resize for etsy....what fun (NOT!) Thank you!
The moment waits for you....
Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog! I appreciate all of your visits and comments!
