Playing with Inktense wc pencils today...

I sketched this out and used spray alcohol inks using paper to block out areas just for fun.  I then sketched over my sketch and then used Inktense wc pencils and a paint brush.  I don't feel it is finished quite yet but will leave it for now and get back to in another day.

WIP, I hated the old collage so much, I had to change it!

From the one above to the lower one...I am much happier with the change!  I just hated looking at the way it was.  I am so enjoying the many online classes I sign up for!  All the different techniques have slowly creeped into my being we are becoming one!  We are MELDING!  I have never enjoyed painting so much as I do now.  I see something I have done and like it or not I let it sit for awhile.  I remember I can always come back to it and change it,  knowing that takes the fear of painting out of the equation for me.  I also tell myself before starting anything that it is only paper and paint or whatever the medium I now remind myself I am in control!  I love that feeling/knowledge!  The newer one is my rendition of the many "Mother Mary" statue's that I have seen growing up in church, on paper, in books, wherever !

Finally finished a piece I have been working on...

This is in my 9" x 12" sketchbook.  I have been using my sketchbook more often. I love drawing and collaging faces.  This one is Portfolio Oil Pastels over a collaged and distressed background.  I did this in Strathmore's Mixed Media sketchbook/journal and it really takes a lot.  I like these Strathmore journals!  I used some stained teabags in this piece, I like what they add to collage!  Will have to make more tea!

I should be cleaning and organizing...but

I am still experimenting with tea bags.  I ran these through my printer at the same time I was holding my breath.  Oh yes, I forgot the prayer to the gods of printers that it would not jam my printer.  It worked...YAY!  Now on to more discovery and experimentation.

I think I may try to sell them in my Etsy shop.  I have waxed them and added old text as well as put them with backgrounds, either on plain watercolor paper or on hand painted wc paper.
